{"id":239469,"date":"2026-04-07T23:11:19","date_gmt":"2026-04-07T23:11:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/239469\/"},"modified":"2026-04-07T23:11:19","modified_gmt":"2026-04-07T23:11:19","slug":"city-of-bellaire-staff-reveal-new-details-for-public-works-facility","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/239469\/","title":{"rendered":"City of Bellaire staff reveal new details for Public Works facility"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bellaire\u2019s new Public Works facility, located at 5235 Glenmont Drive, will house employee offices and equipment from various departments, city staff said in an April 6 City Council meeting.<\/p>\n<p>Remember this?<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/houston\/bellaire-meyerland-west-university\/government\/2024\/12\/17\/bellaire-begins-steps-to-purchase-new-public-works-facility\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">city purchased the property<\/a> in March 2025 for $7 million after Bellaire City Manager Sharon Citino gave a <a href=\"https:\/\/bellairetx.new.swagit.com\/videos\/322784?ts=0\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">presentation<\/a> detailing how the city\u2019s Public Works department has been without a permanent administrative building since 2015.<\/p>\n<p>After the facility at 4337 Edith St. became damaged beyond repair during the 2015 Memorial Day flood, city staff moved to work in makeshift offices at the wastewater treatment plant. In 2023, they were relocated to a leased facility at 5808 S.
