{"id":239674,"date":"2026-04-08T01:54:13","date_gmt":"2026-04-08T01:54:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/239674\/"},"modified":"2026-04-08T01:54:13","modified_gmt":"2026-04-08T01:54:13","slug":"devante-greathouse-reindicted-for-2018-murder-of-kmydron-jordan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/239674\/","title":{"rendered":"Devante Greathouse reindicted for 2018 murder of Kmydron Jordan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text | article-text\">LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) &#8211; A Lubbock County grand jury has reindicted a 27-year-old man for a murder that happened eight years ago and for aggravated robbery.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Devante Greathouse was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kcbd.com\/2018\/12\/18\/indicted-murder-january-death-kmydron-jordan\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.kcbd.com\/2018\/12\/18\/indicted-murder-january-death-kmydron-jordan\/\">initially indicted<\/a>, along with Xavier Garcia, for the murder of Kmydron Jordan Dec. 2018.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Greathouse and Garcia were arrested earlier that year in connection with Jordan\u2019s death. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">PREVIOUS COVERAGE: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kcbd.com\/story\/37259854\/police-identify-man-found-dead-inside-car-in-south-lubbock\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.kcbd.com\/story\/37259854\/police-identify-man-found-dead-inside-car-in-south-lubbock\/\">Police identify man found dead inside car in south Lubbock<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">According to previous KCBD reports, Lubbock County Sheriff\u2019s deputies found Jordan with a gunshot in a car in the area of 84th St. and Ave. N on Jan. 12, 2018.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The Lubbock Police Department had investigators take over the investigation and identified Garcia and Greathouse as the suspected murderers.
