Even with California facing a nearly $18 billion dollar budget deficit, outgoing governor Gavin Newsom is spending $19 million in taxpayer dollars on a P.R. campaign to try and make his record look better.<\/p>\n
“This is clearly an effort to improve his image for national aspirations. It’s not surprising” said Michele Steeb, author and former California resident, who escaped Sacramento and moved here to Texas.<\/p>\n
Newsom’s office says it’s an economic initiative, to push back on criticism and negative narratives.<\/p>\n
“The governor has been a failure on so many levels, he has really brought that state to it’s knees” Steeb told KTRH, “$19 million dollars is just a drop in the bucket, in terms of what he’s really trying to do to cover up his failures.”<\/p>\n
The multi-million dollar campaign got underway on Monday.<\/p>\n
“I’m disappointed as a former Californian, but not all surprised” noted Steeb, who is also the Founder & CEO of the FreeUp Foundation, which is actually making a difference, in dealing with the homeless crisis here in the U.S. https:\/\/www.freeupfoundation.com\/<\/p>\n
Back in 2024, Michele Steeb wrote an op-ed for The Federalist, exposing that Houston’s ‘Housing First’ program wasn’t what it claimed.<\/p>\n
