CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas \u2014 The City of Corpus Christi says it is inviting local artists to help celebrate the city\u2019s history through its 2026 Annual Preservation Awards Art Contest.<\/p>\n
The Corpus Christi Landmark Commission is encouraging creators of all skill levels to submit original artwork that highlights the city\u2019s historic landmarks, cultural identity, and \u201chistorical treasures.\u201d<\/p>\n
City officials say the contest is designed to connect Corpus Christi\u2019s past with its future while encouraging community pride through creative expression.<\/p>\n
The competition is open to high school, college, and adult artists. Artists can submit work in a variety of formats, including painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, mixed media, and digital art.<\/p>\n
Selected pieces may be featured in city publications, public exhibits, and promotional materials, giving local artists public exposure and recognition.<\/p>\n
The City of Corpus Christi says the submission deadline is Tuesday, April 21, and all entries must be emailed to andrewd2@corpuschristitx.gov.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Hard copies will not be accepted.<\/p>\n
