You just kind of exist in it. You complain about the wind, rotate through the same restaurants, and swear you\u2019re going to move \u201cone day&#8221;, just like the rest of us.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"387\" data-end=\"415\">And then you actually leave.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"417\" data-end=\"443\">That\u2019s when it gets weird.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"445\" data-end=\"689\">Suddenly, you realize not every place has skies like this. Lubbock sunsets aren\u2019t just \u201cpretty&#8221;. They\u2019re full-on main character vibes. Big, loud, unapologetic skies that make you stop what you\u2019re doing and stare at the majesty of it all.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"691\" data-end=\"981\">You also start noticing how easy everything was. Nothing was ever really that far. In fact, it was cake. Fifteen minutes could get you across town, and you always knew a back way to avoid whatever cruddy traffic situation was going down. Try that in a bigger city, and you\u2019ll end up lost rather quickly.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"983\" data-end=\"1011\">And then there\u2019s the people.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1013\" data-end=\"1231\">Lubbock has this way of making strangers feel familiar. You\u2019ll miss the random conversations and silly little moments.
