A Lubbock man was arrested on Tuesday, April 7 after being accused of sexually assaulting a female inside the women’s restroom of a grocery store.<\/p>\n

According to KAMC<\/a>, Lubbock Police Officers were called out the Amigos location in the 100 block of North University at around 2:27 in the afternoon.<\/p>\n

The Accused Predator Was Allegedly Waiting For His Victim In the Next Stall<\/p>\n

According to Court Records reported by KAMC<\/a>, 29-Year-Old Judah Hew was in the women’s bathroom the the victim arrived. The victim did not know that a man was inside the bathroom. At one point the man asked for a piece of toilet paper and then slide underneath the stall.<\/p>\n

Court documents stated Hew instructed the victim not to say anything, took her phone and raped her. He then pulled up his pants and left the stall.<\/p>\n

According to KAMC<\/a>, the victim left the bathroom and asked for help. Several good samaritans chased after Hew and pinned him on the ground until police could arrived.<\/p>\n

Police spoke with Hew, who told officers there \u201cwas a young girl who he believed to be his girlfriend located inside of the next stall,\u201d court documents stated. Court documents said Hew admitted to the assault.<\/p>\n

So far the age of the victim has not been released. United Supermarkets released a statement on the attack.<\/p>\n

At Amigos, the safety of our guests and team members\u00a0is our top priority. We are aware of the incident that occurred in our store yesterday, and our hearts and thoughts are with those affected. We are increasing our security measures and cooperating with law enforcement in their investigation. To preserve the integrity of the police investigation, we are not able to comment further on this matter while the investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n
