Commissioners may decide to disown the tract at their April 15, 2026 meeting.<\/p>\n<p>            Google Maps<\/p>\n<p>Tarrant County Commissioners are set to discuss giving up control of a private road in northwest Tarrant County that is being maintained with county tax dollars. Over $15,000 has been spent on the segment since 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Behind the gate going into La Cantera neighborhood is nearly a quarter-mile of Billings Road that is the responsibility of <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"Follow nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.star-telegram.com\/news\/local\/article315116962.html\">the county.<\/a> All the other roads behind the subdivision\u2019s gate are private and maintained by the La Cantera Homeowners Association.<\/p>\n<p>County records of the Billings Road maintenance only date back to 2016, but the county has tended to the quarter-mile section since Oct. 21, 2008.
