From Hollywood to the Grammy stage and beyond, New\u00a0Braunfels<\/a> is about to host a string of high-profile performers this spring and summer.\u00a0<\/p>\n Fans can catch Oscar-winning Landman<\/a> actor and musician Billy Bob\u00a0Thornton, folk-rock icon Bob Dylan, Texas country legend Willie Nelson and comedian Gabriel “Fluffy”\u00a0Iglesias<\/a> in venues ranging from historic Gruene Hall to the riverside Whitewater Amphitheater to even a local liquor store in New Braunfels.\u00a0<\/p>\n Article continues below this ad<\/p>\n Here\u2019s when and how you can catch them in New Braunfels:<\/p>\n Billy Bob Thornton and his band The Boxmasters.<\/p>\n Courtesy of the Molak Corporation<\/p>\n Billy Bob\u00a0Thornton & The Boxmasters: 2026 Morro Rock Tour<\/p>\n Actor Billy Bob\u00a0Thornton<\/a>, 70, known for his Academy Award-winning role in Sling Blade and current Paramount+ series\u00a0<\/a>Landman<\/a>, will perform with The Boxmasters at Gruene Hall on July 16. Doors open at 7 p.m., with the show starting at 9 p.m.<\/p>\n Article continues below this ad<\/p>\n The performance is part of the 2026 Morro Rock Tour, which follows the June 12 release of The Boxmasters\u2019 21st album, In The Bay. The album was largely written in Morro Bay, California, and reflects the band\u2019s continued interest in 1960s rock, with strong influences from Brian Wilson and the Beach Boys.<\/p>\n Band members\u00a0J.D. Andrew and Bud Thornton describe the album as a “humble attempt at making our \u2018Pet Sounds\u2019. We\u2019re certainly not The Beatles or The Beach Boys, no one will ever be, but those heroes continue to inspire us. When we started this album, we had the general idea that we were going to make one of our more Sixties pop influenced albums,” according to details on the\u00a0official\u00a0concert’s website.<\/a><\/p>\n Article continues below this ad<\/p>\n The 2026 Morro Rock Tour runs from mid-June through August, ending on August 8 in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. Known for classics like “Like a Rolling Stone” and “Blowin\u2019 in the Wind,” Dylan has shaped folk, rock and Americana for more than six decades. Now the legend will perform at Whitewater Amphitheater on June 30, with Lucinda Williams and the John Doe Folk Trio opening. Audiences can expect an interactive experience filled with humor, selfies, and signed bottles.
