The bike then strikes a curb and erupts into flames.<\/p>\n\u201cI saw that he had hit the curb, and then his motorcycle flew up in a fireball,\u201d Perez said. \u201cFortunately, it didn\u2019t hit the children that were close by, but it looked like a very close call.\u201d<\/p>\n
Perez said a neighbor was already attempting to put out the flames with a garden hose when he arrived. The footage also shows the rider running across the street while on fire before collapsing in a nearby field.<\/p>\n
\u201cI also noticed that the rider was running across the street on fire,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Perez said he was later told by authorities that no children were injured and that the motorcyclist survived.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m just glad, from my understanding, when I talked to the police, the children are fine, and no one besides the rider was injured,\u201d he said. \u201cEven the rider was able to walk away from that accident.\u201d<\/p>\n
Perez described the footage as \u201cincredible\u201d and \u201cmind-blowing,\u201d noting that some viewers online questioned its authenticity.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere was a lot of people out there saying this video is AI,\u201d Perez said. \u201cBut I can say that this was not a hoax. This was a real video that actually happened.\u201d<\/p>\n
