Mockingbird Lane, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/food\/2018\/06\/25\/new-to-dallas-restaurant-burgerfi-beefs-up-mockingbird-lane\/\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">a former BurgerFi restaurant<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Construction at the coming-soon Chipotle adds to a congested sector of East Dallas. Roadwork on Mockingbird near the Highland hotel has led to backed-up traffic, while excavators on the north side, near Mockingbird Station and the DART station, are making way for a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.trammellcrow.com\/newsroom\/hsr-breaks-ground-on-394-unit-multifamily-project-at-mockingbird-station\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">seven-story residential building from Trammell Crow Company<\/a>. That building is expected to have about 400 multifamily apartments.<\/p>\n<p>The coming-soon Chipotle, which will be neighbors with Jason\u2019s Deli and Contemporary Ballet Dallas, is expected to open in summer 2026.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s one of more than 20 Chipotles in the Dallas area. Nearby, the brand already has restaurants on Central Expressway, north of Lovers Lane; on West Northwest Highway near Abrams Road; in Lakewood on Abrams Road; and in Old East Dallas on Gaston Avenue.<\/p>\n<p>Chipotle is a fast-casual restaurant that sells burritos, rice bowls, salads and quesadillas. In late 2025, it added a high-protein section to the menu with options for high-fiber and low-carb dishes \u2014 two buzzwords in food right now.<\/p>\n<p>Chipotle is expected to open at 5456 E.
