Photo by David Leeson<\/p>\n<p>The Dallas Park and Recreation Department, alongside the Dallas Park and Recreation Board, will officially rename Lake Highlands North Park to Walne Park during a ceremony on April 9, 2026 at 5 p.m.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The renaming honors Joan and Alan Walne and their family for their longstanding contributions to the city.
