In a region where more than 700,000 people face food insecurity, a simple night out turned into something much bigger. Across North Texas, diners became part of a growing effort to fight hunger, one meal at a time.<\/p>\n
The month-long campaign encouraged guests to give back while dining out, with participating restaurants donating a portion of sales to support the North Texas Food Bank, similar to initiatives where local restaurants donated 10% of Tuesday sales<\/a> to help address food insecurity across the region.<\/p>\n What started as a simple concept quickly grew into a community-wide movement with measurable impact. Dallas-based FB Society announced it raised more than $148,000 for the North Texas Food Bank through its inaugural Food Bank February campaign, translating to an estimated 446,000 meals for families across the region.<\/p>\n Dining With A Purpose<\/p>\n The campaign ran throughout February across 16 FB Society restaurants and Legacy Hall, with 10% of net Tuesday sales donated directly to the North Texas Food Bank<\/a>. Guests also had the option to contribute additional donations, with every dollar helping provide three meals.<\/p>\n The effort mobilized teams across the region, turning everyday dining into a coordinated community impact.<\/p>\n \u201cWe’re proud of what this team built in year one, and grateful to every guest who joined us in supporting North Texas Food Bank,\u201d said Jack Gibbons in an official statement. \u201cFrom the beginning, this was about more than a campaign. It was about showing up for the community we call home.\u201d<\/p>\n A Growing Need Across North Texas<\/p>\n The impact comes at a critical time. More than 744,000 North Texans face food insecurity, and the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex ranks third in the nation for hunger.
