The Houston area is facing the threat of heavy rain on Friday.<\/p>\n

Heavy downpours are expected across the area, with the most intense rain expected between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Severe weather is not expected, but heavy rain could cause ponding and street flooding issues.<\/p>\n

In addition to the rain, wind gusts up to 40 mph are possible at times.<\/p>\n
