Rock Hill<\/a> lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Plano East<\/a>, but it’s fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Wednesday’s game. The Blue Hawks never let the Panthers get on the board and left with a 6-0 win on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Blue Hawks, who have now won eight contests by six runs or more so far this season.<\/p>\n Madilynn Grossman<\/a> was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn’t given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.<\/p>\n In other batting news, Ali Sanchez<\/a> was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Madelyn Kerrigan<\/a> was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.<\/p>\n The victory made it two in a row for Rock Hill and bumps their season record up to 9-11. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Plano East, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-14-2.<\/p>\n Coincidentally, Rock Hill and Plano East will both be playing Plano the next time they take the field. The Panthers will head out to face the Wildcats at 7:15 p.m. on Friday, while the Blue Hawks will host them at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
