CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas \u2014 The City of Corpus Christi will provide a major update on the Inner Harbor desalination project during a city council workshop on Friday morning.\u00a0<\/p>\n
City officials are expected to provide a status of the Inner Harbor desalination contract. Staff will outline outstanding items needed before a finalized contract can be presented to council, along with a broader community update on desalination that includes project background and timeline, according to the city’s agenda.<\/p>\n
The briefing will also include confirmation of the anticipated execution date for the final Inner Harbor desalination contract, a key milestone requested by Mayor Paulette Guajardo.<\/p>\n
Officials emphasized the workshop will not allow the public to comment. However, community members will have an opportunity to speak at the April 14 City Council meeting.<\/p>\n
