New guy or someone returning from injury, which addition is your favorite so far this offseason? \u2013 Mister Taylor\/Schenectady, NY<\/p>\n
Nick: I think there are some good choices here, and all of them on defense. But if I have to say a favorite, I’ll go with Rashan Gary in a trade with the Packers. Gary is a proven pass-rusher who still has plenty of production on a consistent basis.<\/p>\n
Sure, he was better in the games opposite of Micah Parsons but it’s not like he played his whole career with Micah. Gary has at least five sacks in the last six years, including three with 7.5 or more. That would’ve been right at the top of the Cowboys defense this past season. I think there will be other pass-rushers added to the mix opposite of Gary. But don’t forget this part, the pass-rushers in Green Bay didn’t have the interior linemen the Cowboys will have with Kenny Clark and Quinnen Williams. So I think Gary has a chance to be just as productive, if not more this season.<\/p>\n
I think other candidates are Jalen Thompson and Cobie Durant, but if I had to pick one favorite addition, it’s the move to get a veteran in Rashan Gary, a player this defense definitely needed a year ago.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"(Editor’s Note: Time to check the mail!
