The effort recognizes communities that actively work to prevent habitat loss and mitigate other harmful factors affecting bird populations.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Conservation Wrangler program is an incredible opportunity to expand our existing bird conservation work,\u201d\u00a0said Lisa Gonzalez, Audubon Texas Vice\u00a0President\u00a0and Executive Director.\u00a0\u201cBird City Texas supports community-based conservation work in more than a dozen cities across the state, and we hope to see this number grow through this award. We look forward to this expanded partnership with Texan by Nature in service of building a better, more bird-friendly Texas for current and future generations.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Conservation Wrangler awardees will receive\u00a012-18 months\u00a0of support from Texan by Nature including program management, strategic planning, marketing messaging, data gathering ana analysis, and other critical support. Projects are vetted through a rigorous selection process, and awardees must have a demonstrated\u00a0track record\u00a0of positive environmental, economic, and human impacts.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis year\u2019s Conservation Wrangler applications highlighted the extraordinary range of conservation leadership across Texas,\u201d\u00a0said Joni Carswell, President and CEO of\u00a0Texan by Nature.\u00a0\u201cThe selected Conservation Wranglers are driving solutions to global conservation challenges like water scarcity, biodiversity loss, soil health, and urban growth, and building replicable blueprints that go far beyond Texas\u2019 borders.\u00a0Texan by Nature&#8217;s\u00a0collaboration with these projects will expand conservation efforts and deliver measurable returns statewide.
