Not groceries. Not bills. We\u2019re talking about the kind of purchase where, even as you\u2019re handing over your card, a tiny voice in your head whispers, \u201cThis is a mistake.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"174\" data-end=\"447\">So naturally, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/TheRockShowWithChrissyAndWes\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The RockShow with Chrissy and Wes<\/a> took it upon ourselves to ask Lubbock: what&#8217;s the most unnecessary thing you&#8217;ve ever bought? You guys took the question and RAN with it. Thanks for giving us all a heads-up on what to avoid on our next shopping trip!<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"571\" data-end=\"905\">Some answers were practical, I guess&#8230;in theory. Like, the bottle washer that allegedly saves \u201celeven million hours,\u201d or the extended home warranty that exists purely for peace of mind (and monthly payments). Others were a little more emotional\u2014like flowers that \u201calways die,\u201d or lottery tickets that continue to fund someone else\u2019s dream life. Why don&#8217;t we ever win the big one?<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"571\" data-end=\"905\">Then there were a few truly questionable purchases&#8230;<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"571\" data-end=\"905\">One person went out for a night of pizza and came home with a brand new Corvette. Things escalated. Big time. Another person admitted to buying a piece of VHS cover art from a 1979 movie. Weird. A hypno toad, a squatty potty, and a spare tire cover were all noted to have been very useless purchases.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"571\" data-end=\"905\">Honestly, the takeaway is that nobody around here is safe. At some point, we will buy something ridiculous again, whether out of boredom, curiosity, or sheer impulse.
