NEW VIDEO! Another Texas town, another political shit show. Instead of dealing with the water crisis, there is political drama in Corpus Christi, including calls for the mayor to be removed next week amidst allegations of fraud. HERE WE COME!<\/p>\n

\u201cWe get a lot of reactions when word spread that we are investigating public officials know. Some people told me that some folks shit in their pants,\u201d Wayne Dolcefino told the camera.<\/p>\n

\u201cCampos defecated on herself in the city manager\u2019s conference room.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNice look. But when a defecation actually becomes news, you know it\u2019s gotten nasty,\u201d Dolcefino told the camera.<\/p>\n

Corpus Christi City Councilwoman Sylvia Campos hit with pretty embarrassing headlines.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know me, I\u2019m known for my sensitivity. But I\u2019ll tell you why this personal affair became fair game for the Corpus Christi news folks. Because a city employee actually complained about it.<\/p>\n

All about some shit on the floor. I wonder how much did that investigation cost Corpus Christi taxpayers?<\/p>\n

\u201cNot to be mean-spirited, but this crap attack is kind of symbolic of what is going on in Corpus Christi city hall. It\u2019s a shit show,\u201d Dolcefino told the camera.<\/p>\n

And now the mayor is under fire.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe petition to remove the Corpus Christi mayor from office moves forward at city council today,\u201d Leslie Adams said.<\/p>\n

Next Tuesday, Corpus Christi City Council members appear ready to try and oust Mayor Paulette Guajardo.<\/p>\n

Articles of impeachment.<\/p>\n

A petition to impeach the mayor had seven signatures.<\/p>\n

She\u2019s accused of fraud, aiding and abetting fraud.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s a quote from the petition.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere was a crime,\u201d said the city manager Peter Zanoni.<\/p>\n

The war against the mayor comes after a developer got a 2 million dollar incentive payment to build a Homewood Suites in downtown Corpus Christi.<\/p>\n

They were accused of altering or forging a FEMA report in their presentation to the city.<\/p>\n

It was covering up the date on a FEMA press release.<\/p>\n

The city auditor got a complaint and investigated, and claimed last August that it looked like \u201cfraud, abuse and\/or illegal conduct had occurred.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBut here\u2019s the problem. Law enforcement did complete investigation, I mean everybody,\u201d Dolcefino told the camera.<\/p>\n

\u201cCCPD has reviewed it, the FBI has reviewed it, the Texas Rangers have reviewed it, the US Attorney and the District Attorney, and they\u2019ve all found that there\u2019s been no crime that\u2019s been committed,\u201d Ronald Barrera said.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo that will be one of my question, how is it that the mayor committed fraud if there was no fraud?\u201d Dolcefino told the camera.<\/p>\n

The mayor\u2019s lawyer has now issued a warning, calling the removal attempt clearly political, \u201cnot only a wasted effort but will further subject Corpus Christi to negative publicity.\u201d<\/p>\n

And turns out the whole investigation was actually sparked by a competing hotel developer named Ajit David.<\/p>\n

\u201cCan\u2019t wait to find out how much Corpus Christi taxpayers have spent of this debacle,\u201d Dolcefino told the camera.<\/p>\n

Especially when the city\u2019s biggest problem isn\u2019t hotels, but water.<\/p>\n

Levels on the lakes that provide drinking water are devastatingly low.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just as soon get back to work on water, which is what I think the citizens want us to do,\u201d Mark Scott said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve launched a number of requests for public records, emails and phone records, and it should be fought. And I get to come to Corpus Christi to watch the shit show. Stay tuned,\u201d Dolcefino told the camera.<\/p>\n
