One of Fort Worth\u2019s favorite sons is working on a new project.<\/p>\n
Leon Bridges<\/a> announced Thursday evening at a fundraiser for his nonprofit The Big Good<\/a> that he\u2019s working on a new album. This would be the crooner\u2019s first record since his namesake 2024 effort \u2014 \u201cLeon.\u201d<\/p>\n Bridges mentioned the news as he and his Big Good co-founder (and former TCU coach) Gary Patterson<\/a> welcomed guests to the River Ranch Stockyards.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m gearing up to drop a new album,\u201d Bridges told the crowd of hundreds. \u201cI don\u2019t know the release date yet, but I think it\u2019s my best work yet.\u201d<\/p>\n \ud83d\udd25 In case you missed it…<\/p>\n \u25fd\ufe0f Sign up for Star-Telegram news alerts<\/a>.<\/p>\n Leon Bridges preps new album<\/p>\n Bridges didn\u2019t mention anything else about the new album, just that it was on the way.<\/p>\n In the rollout for \u201cLeon,\u201d<\/a> Bridges said it was his most personal record yet as it captured his memories of growing up in Fort Worth. Several of the songs contain references to the city, including \u201cPanther City,\u201d which itself points towards Fort Worth\u2019s old nickname.<\/a><\/p>\n
