For the first time since March 7, the Rapids\u00a0will\u00a0play in front of the Colorado faithful at DSGP.\u00a0The club will look to continue their success at home this season and build on their perfect 2-0-0 record so far.\u00a0In the Rapids two home matches against Portland and LA, the club outscored their opponents 6-1 on their way to securing all six\u00a0possible points.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Colorado will have their eyes set on bouncing back from their most recent result, a 3-2 loss on the road to Toronto FC. Scoring goals for the Rapids were Designated Player Paxten Aaronson and\u00a0captain\u00a0Keegan Rosenberry.\u00a0Aaronson\u2019s goal was a continuation of his top play as of late, and Rosenberry\u2019s marked his first of the season and his\u00a0ninth as a member of the Rapids.\u00a0<\/p>\n
As\u00a0stated, Aaronson\u2019s goal last weekend extends his current run of form as one of the top players in all of\u00a0MLS\u00a0over the past\u00a0month. Over his last five matches, the midfielder has recorded\u00a0five goal contributions with three goals and two assists. All three goals Aaronson has scored this season have come in the past two matches, including his\u00a0first career brace against Sporting KC on March 21.\u00a0Aaronson\u2019s goal\u00a0against\u00a0Toronto FC\u00a0came after\u00a0he netted a perfect shot directly from a free kick.\u00a0<\/p>\n
On the other side of this matchup is a Houston side that is looking to find their footing\u00a0early on in the\u00a0MLS season. With a 2-3-0 record, the club has shown promise but has struggled to find consistency in their play so\u00a0far five matches in.\u00a0Heading into Saturday, the Dynamo have yet to log a point in their\u00a0previous\u00a0two matches. Most recently, the club\u00a0fell at\u00a0home to Seattle by a final score of 1-0.
