Life-saving measures were attempted but were unsuccessful. The man was pronounced dead at 9:02 p.m.<\/p>\n
Police said multiple other individuals involved in the incident were injured and transported themselves to local hospitals. Their conditions were not immediately known.<\/p>\n
Austin police Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators are processing the scene, which remains active as the investigation continues.<\/p>\n
Officials said no weapon has been recovered and no arrests have been made.<\/p>\n
Most of the people involved had already left the area before officers arrived, police said. The bar has since been shut down as investigators work to gather information.<\/p>\n
Police said the shooting appears to be an isolated incident and there is no ongoing threat to the public.<\/p>\n
\u201cI would like to extend our condolences to the victim’s family at this time,\u201d APD Public Information Officer Aaron Townsend said during a media briefing. “We’re doing our very best to find out who’s responsible for this.”<\/p>\n
The case is being investigated as Austin\u2019s 20th homicide of the year.<\/p>\n
