Looking for something to do? A variety of fun events, indoors and out, are on the calendar across The American Dream City from Feb. 4 through Feb. 7, 2026. Check back each week for a new list of family-friendly activities!<\/p>\n
First Thursday Downtown Arlington<\/p>\n
First Thursdays<\/a> Downtown Arlington\u00a0is a monthly community event featuring live music, local vendors, art, food trucks, and extended hours at downtown shops and restaurants. Held in the heart of Downtown Arlington from 5 p.m. To 8 p.m., the event brings residents and visitors together to explore local businesses, enjoy entertainment, and experience the district\u2019s vibrant atmosphere. This month’s featured experiences include Street Sounds live music, a fire performance at Rotary DREAM Park by Radiant Solz, and special events such as The Dinosaur Exhibit Opening Reception<\/p>\n Storytime: Birds<\/p>\n Families are invited to explore local wildlife during this interactive bird program, Storytime: Birds<\/a>, on Friday, Feb. 6 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at River Legacy Nature Center<\/a>. Participants will enjoy bird-themed stories and, weather permitting, take a short, family-friendly hike to the Bird Blind with Dr. Ellen Ravkind to observe birds in their natural habitat. This relaxed program encourages curiosity, movement, and connection with nature for all ages.\u00a0<\/p>\n Arabic Book Club & Calligraphy<\/p>\n The Arabic Book Club “Kutub”<\/a>\u00a0meets Saturday, Feb. 7 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library<\/a>. Open to adults and seniors, the club explores Arabic culture through literature, film, music, and discussion, followed by a hands-on Arabic calligraphy session led by master calligrapher Hayder Mohsin.<\/p>\n Star Party at O.S. Gray<\/p>\n Look up and join the fun at the Star Party at O.S. Gray<\/a>\u00a0on Saturday, Feb. 7 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at O.S. Gray Natural Area hosted by the\u00a0Friends of O.S. Gray Natural Area<\/a>. This free, family-friendly event features telescope viewing with astronomers from the Fort Worth Astronomical Society<\/a>, along with a classic wiener roast and hot chocolate.
