An altercation leading to gunfire outside a club in Austin, Texas left one person dead and multiple others injured, according to police. The suspect remains at large.<\/p>\n

The shooting happened at about 8:40 p.m. on Friday at 5012 East 7th Street, the address of the Cabana Club, when officers were called for a disturbance involving a group of people in and out the club, Austin Police Department spokesperson Aaron Townsend said<\/a>. The call was later upgraded after shots were heard.<\/p>\n

Townsend said officers arrived within minutes and found an adult man outside the back of the club with \u201cobvious\u201d trauma to his body. Life-saving measures were attempted, but he was pronounced dead at 9:02 p.m.<\/p>\n

Two other people also went to local hospitals, Townsend said, though their conditions were not immediately available. He added that other people also self-transported to area hospitals, but police did not say how many.<\/p>\n

Police said the shooting happened outside the club and described it as an isolated incident. No weapon had been recovered as of late Friday.<\/p>\n
