KitKat\u00a0of Texas, who had been lost since 2021, was brought to Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter, which scanned its microchip \u2014 leading it to its owners.<\/p>\n

The fur baby, who was miraculously healthy with only a minor abrasion on her leg, was identified by its parents via a photo the shelter posted to its website<\/p>\n

\u201cMy wife got an email saying the chip had been found, and then I got a text as well. That\u2019s when we checked the Williamson County lost and found page and saw her,\u201d owner Angelique Wethereit told Fox 7<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Georgetown shelter, which returned 93 pets to their owners in March alone, was touched by the reunion \u2014 and the fact that the feline recognized its owner right away.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been doing this since 2013, and I have never seen a reunion after five years. That is incredible,\u201d Leo Delgado of WCRAS told the outlet. <\/p>\n
