EL MACERO, Calif. \u2013 Day two of the El Macero Classic is in the books and UT Arlington men’s golf sits in 16th place as a team after posting a 22-over-par 310. UTA entered the day tied for fourth.<\/p>\n
Arth Sinha<\/a> continues to pace the Mavericks, carding a 2-over 74 and sitting in a tie for 17th individually after also firing an even-par 72 in the first round. The freshman birdied a team-high three holes and was the only UTA player to not record a bogey on the par-4 10th hole.<\/p>\n Next on the leaderboard for the Mavericks is another freshman in Ajay Morris<\/a>. The Avondale, Arizona-native matched Sinha’s birdie total en route to a 5-over 77. Morris is now 7-over for the tournament and in a tie for 55th place.<\/p>\n Nicholas Lyman<\/a> followed up his even-par first round with an 8-over 80 in the second. The freshman’s round was highlighted by an even-par 36 on the front nine and is in a tie for 66th going into the third and final day of the tournament.\u00a0<\/p>\n Sitting one stroke back of Lyman, Matthew Broder<\/a> followed up a first-round 74 with a 7-over 79 in the second round. The junior made par on 11 holes, the high-water mark for the team on day two. Broder enters the final round in a tie for 72nd place.<\/p>\n Michael Chevalier<\/a> capped off the UTA lineup, shooting a 10-over 82 in the second round. The junior was one of two Mavericks to birdie the first hole and enters Sunday tied for 90th.<\/p>\n The tournament concludes with its third and final round beginning at 10:00 a.m. Sunday on the first and 10th tees at El Macero Country Club in El Macero, California.
