Widespread rain and storms for most of the South Plains is going to keep temperatures cooler and hopefully rain gauges fuller. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">TONIGHT<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Mild and mostly quiet for the South Plains. The biggest threat will be straight-line winds and some large hail. High temperatures will stay a little cool in the 70s due to cloud cover and rain-cooled air throughout the day. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">SUNDAY<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Rain chances will dwindle likely before the sun rises Sunday morning. We do have a small shot of seeing a few showers and storms in the afternoon but that\u2019ll mostly be for our eastern counties if that dry line moves further west into the area.
