In Houston, Iranian protesters urge U.S. leaders not to trust Iran’s regime during negotiations, advocating for regime change.<\/p>\n

HOUSTON \u2014 Amid ongoing negotiations between U.S. and Iranian leaders<\/a>, hundreds of protesters from Houston\u2019s Iranian community gathered outside the Galleria.<\/p>\n

Several told KHOU 11 that, regardless of the outcome of those talks, they want to see regime change in Iran.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is our last option \u2014 what we\u2019re doing right now \u2014 asking for foreign military intervention,\u201d Arshia said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhatever deal they make, it should lead to this regime being gone,\u201d Diana Rohani said. \u201cThe man in this picture is the opposition leader for us. He is the son of our leader before the revolution.\u201d<\/p>\n

Many protesters held signs featuring Iranian Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi. Those who spoke with KHOU 11 said they support him leading a transitional government following the death of Ali Khamenei.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe want regime change for Iran. We have chosen Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi to lead us through this,\u201d Parmida said.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe is the only solution for the Iranian people,\u201d Farshad said.<\/p>\n

As discussions continue, protesters say they have a message for U.S. leaders.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are trying to let the U.S. know: do not trust this regime while negotiating with them,\u201d Kiana Komeizi said. \u201cThey have held our country hostage for the last 47 years. We want them out.\u201d<\/p>\n
