In a post on X,<\/a> Ginn described the situation as a “serious mistake” and he vowed to take full responsibility for his actions. Ginn, a former NFL wide receiver, was arrested by the Euless Police Department over the weekend and is facing a charge of driving while intoxicated. He was booked into Tarrant County jail on Saturday and released the same day.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019ve always believed in accountability and now it\u2019s my turn to live that standard,” Ginn wrote. “I understand the responsibility that comes with being a leader & role model, and falling short of this is not something I take lightly. I\u2019m committed to learning from this, making better decisions, and earning back the trust of my players, our organization, and the fans.”<\/p>\n

Ginn’s team was in North Texas to face the Dallas Renegades<\/a> on Sunday at Frisco’s Toyota Stadium. With Ginn unavailable to coach, Aviators offensive coordinator Todd Haley assumed the team’s head coaching duties against the Renegades.<\/p>\n

Ginn said his focus remains on coaching the Aviators. The United Football League has not announced when Ginn will return to the Columbus team’s sidelines.<\/p>\n
