CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas \u2014 Drivers leaving the Bayfront area toward northbound IH 37 will face a 48-hour closure starting Friday night as part of the Harbor Bridge Project work.<\/p>\n
Officials say both northbound and southbound routes will be affected, with possible delays.<\/p>\n
The closure begins Friday, April 17, at 9 p.m., and continues through Sunday, April 19.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Northbound IH 37 traffic leaving the Bayfront area will\u00a0be detoured\u00a0at N Chaparral Street. Drivers will turn right on N Chaparral, left on Belden, and left on N Tancahua, then continue to the Martin Luther King Drive frontage road to reach the northbound IH 37 ramp at Stillman Avenue.<\/p>\n
Southbound SH 286 traffic will also be detoured through N Chaparral, Belden, and N Tancahua, continuing to Martin Luther King Drive frontage road to access the SH 286 loop ramp.<\/p>\n
Northbound US 181 drivers will follow the same detour route, then continue along Martin Luther King Drive frontage road and make a U-turn at Nueces Bay Boulevard to reach IH 37 and the US 181 connector ramp.<\/p>\n
