The officers gave the baby girl CPR and had her breathing again by the time paramedics arrived.<\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">FORT WORTH, Texas &#8211; The Fort Worth Police Department is praising two of its officers who helped to lift a car and revive an unresponsive baby after a crash on Interstate 30 last week.<\/p>\n<p original-article-post=\"\" origination_station=\"KDFW\" data-v-ec26887a=\"\" data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">What&#8217;s new:<\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">FWPD Chief Eddie Garcia, Sgt. R Nichols and Officer E. Bounds are expected to speak to the media on Tuesday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">You can watch the news conference live at 2:30 p.m. in the video player below.<\/p>\n<p>  Dramatic Rescue <\/p>\n<p original-article-post=\"\" origination_station=\"KDFW\" data-v-ec26887a=\"\" data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">The backstory:<\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">The crash happened this past Thursday morning on I-30 between Eastchase Parkway and Cooks Lane. A woman and her infant child were both ejected in a rollover accident.<\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">Body camera video shows Fort Worth police officers and several Good Samaritans frantically searching for the baby girl. They eventually realized she was pinned under the overturned vehicle.<\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">&#8220;Hey! Over here. We need to move the car. I think the baby\u2019s under here,&#8221; an officer shouts.<\/p>\n<p> <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/1761676030_772_fw-i-30-crash-response_kdfw030e_146_mxf_00.01.06.34.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-v-0dea8073=\"\"\/>  <\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">Sgt. Nichols and Officer Bounds got help from the witnesses to lift the car and grab the child. She was unresponsive at the time.<\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">The video also shows the officers performing CPR on the infant.
