City construction crews are working on road improvements on Yorktown Boulevard from Rodd Field Road to the Oso Bridge.<\/p>\n
The work is part of a $25.5 million road reconstruction project that will increase the two-lane road to a four-lane road. Voters approved the work in 2020, and it is expected to be completed by fall of 2027. Neighborhoods and businesses will remain accessible during construction.<\/p>\n
The work includes improvements to pavement, curbs and gutters, and streetlights, as well as the construction of new or improved sidewalks, ADA-compliant curb ramps, signage, pavement markings, and traffic signals. In addition to surface improvements, the project includes improvements to stormwater, water, wastewater, and gas infrastructure.
