The Voice for Every Child Awards are the association&#8217;s\u00a0most prestigious membership award. Local PTAs strive to have one voice for every child on their campus. This award honors innovative individuals and school districts within the Skyward user community who demonstrate outstanding performance and dedication. It recognizes and celebrates the innovators, change-makers, problem-solvers, pioneers\u00a0and forward-thinkers who use Skyward systems to improve operational efficiency, streamline workflows\u00a0and enhance student or staff experiences. Plano ISD was one of only two districts in the nation recognized in the Qmlativ category.<\/p>\n<p>This recognition reflects the district\u2019s successful migration to the Skyward Qmlativ platform\u2014an extraordinary, multi-year initiative that transformed how the district\u00a0manages student and business information systems. Over two years, the Technology team led 24 data migrations, supported tens of thousands of service interactions\u00a0and delivered extensive training and support to more than 8,000 employees serving over 45,000 students.<\/p>\n<p>Plano ISD has served as a true partner in innovation, collaborating with Skyward on more than 300 system enhancements that benefit not only our district, but also large districts across the country.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A few examples of the innovations that the\u00a0team influenced include:<\/p>\n<p>\tSchedule holds in Family Access if annual forms or vaccination compliance have not been submitted<br \/>\n\tAge verification on new student online enrollment so that guardians cannot select the wrong grade level for their student<br \/>\n\tConditional formatting within online forms so that families only see certain questions based on previously selected criteria<br \/>\n\tPhone extensions for a room displaying on the student locator so that office staff can easily see where a student is throughout the school day and call that room\u00a0<br \/>\n\tAllowing nurses to see a medication count down to easily communicate with parents when critical medications are running low in the nurses&#8217; clinic<br \/>\n\tBank Names added to ACH for a second level of verification\u00a0<br \/>\n\tProvide total revenue and total expenditure columns in the Budget Versions list, eliminating the need to export to Excel and total<br \/>\n\tDeploying and sharing dashboard tiles from the district level<br \/>\n\tThe automated integration between employee (ERP) and staff (SIS) records developed by Plano is being utilized as part of the framework for a major product enhancement<\/p>\n<p>This award is a testament to the vision, dedication\u00a0and expertise of the Plano ISD Technology Services Department. Their work exemplifies our district\u2019s commitment to operational excellence, data security\u00a0and continuous improvement in service of our students, staff\u00a0and community.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"plano isd communications department\" data-image- data-resource-description=\"\" data-resource-filename=\"0R0A1145.jpg\" data-resource-uuid=\"855570f5-1e43-478e-b568-05db1def3454\" src=\"\" width=\"534\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Plano ISD&#8217;s Communications Department\u00a0was recognized at the annual Texas School Public Relations Association&#8217;s\u00a0Star Awards Dinner in February, held in Galveston. The annual awards provide recognition to education communications. Projects are evaluated by independent, impartial judges based on set criteria.
