(KFOX14\/CBS4) \u2014 A 25-year-old man faces multiple charges after El Paso County deputies said he ran a red light late on Friday and then threatened deputies and their families during and after his arrest.<\/p>\n<p>Deputies said they conducted a traffic stop at about 10:45 p.m. near the intersection of Eastlake Boulevard and Rojas Drive after seeing a vehicle run a red light while making an improper turn. <\/p>\n<p>The driver was identified as 25-year-old Jon Christian Orozco. <\/p>\n<p>Deputies reported detecting a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and said Orozco was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated 2nd.<\/p>\n<p>RECOMMENDED: <a href=\"https:\/\/cbs4local.com\/news\/local\/el-paso-man-arrested-after-facebook-post-allegedly-threatened-police-military?src=link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">El Paso man arrested after Facebook post allegedly threatened police, military<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Deputies said Orozco made multiple verbal threats toward them during and after the arrest, claiming affiliation with a criminal cartel and stating that harm would come to deputies and their families. <\/p>\n<p>Deputies said he continued making explicit threats, including statements indicating an intent to locate and harm law enforcement personnel. <\/p>\n<p>Additional charges for Obstruction or Retaliation were filed, deputies said.<\/p>\n<p>Orozco was initially booked on one count of Driving While Intoxicated 2nd with a $2,500 bond and one count of Obstruction or Retaliation with a $10,000 bond.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cbs4local.com\/sign-up\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Sign up <\/a>to receive the top interesting stories from in and around our community once daily in your inbox.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Las Cruces, N.M.
