\t\t\t\t\t\t\tRenovations at Texas Christian University\u2019s Ed Landreth Hall and Dallas Fort Worth Airport\u2019s Centurion Lounge are two of many new projects filed recently with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.<\/p>\n
Here are five of the most expensive permits filed with TDLR in the past week.<\/p>\n
1. Texas Christian University Ed Landreth Hall <\/a>renovations<\/a><\/p>\n Texas Christian University<\/a> is renovating Ed Laundrette Hall with mechanical, electrical and plumbing upgrades; a new theater; audiovisual and technology upgrades; and acoustics, finishes and architectural updates, according to a TDLR filing. Jason Soileau, the assistant vice chancellor of planning, design and construction at TCU, said the project will create a more modern teaching and performing space for a facility constructed in 1948. He said renovations are expected to be completed for the fall 2028 academic semester.<\/p>\n Location: 2800 S. University Drive, Fort WorthEstimated timeline: June 1, 2026-June 30, 2028Estimated cost: $60 million2. American Express Centurion Lounge<\/a> expansion<\/a> at DFW Airport<\/a><\/p>\n American Express<\/a> is renovating and expanding an existing lounge at the DFW Airport, according to a TDLR filing. The DFW Airport Centurion Lounge is one of the earliest locations, according to a news release<\/a>. The renovations will come with more seating, a new dining area and walk-up ice cream. Construction is estimated to take roughly a year and a half.<\/p>\n Location: 2333 S. International Parkway, DFW Airport, Terminal DEstimated timeline: April 14, 2026-Nov. 19, 2027Estimated cost: $35 million3. Texas Health Dallas Hamon Tower renovations<\/a><\/p>\n Texas Health Resources<\/a> is renovating the fifth floor of Hamon Tower in Dallas to include 30 medical-surgical beds and 30 intermediate beds, according to a TDLR filing. Construction is estimated to take less than a year to complete.<\/p>\n Location: 8200 Walnut Hill Lane, DallasEstimated timeline: Aug. 1, 2026-April 30, 2027Estimated cost: $25.96 million4. Yardi at Legacy West<\/a> in Plano<\/p>\n A California-based real estate technology firm is renovating two floors at the Liberty Mutual south tower<\/a> in Plano, according to a TDLR filing. Renovations will include new walls, doors, ceiling conditions, plumbing, electrical and a monumental stair. Yardi<\/a> plans to vacate its Irving office over the summer, according to a city of Plano news release<\/a>. Construction is estimated to take half a year to complete.<\/p>\n Location: 7900 Windrose Ave., Floors 16 and 17, PlanoEstimated timeline: May 25, 2026-Nov. 1, 2026Estimated cost: $10.2 million5. McKinney<\/a> Public Safety building renovations<\/a><\/p>\n The city of McKinney is upgrading its public safety building along Taylor Burk Drive, according to a TDLR filing. McKinney voters approved new construction for public safety facilities and renovations for existing facilities after a 2024 bond election, per previous reporting<\/a>. The city proposed $70 million to go toward public safety improvements and expansions, according to city documents<\/a>.
