COLLEGE STATION \u2014 Texas A&M baseball<\/a>\u2019s offense continued to impress Tuesday, downing Houston, 10-2.<\/p>\n

The Aggies (28-7, 9-5 SEC) scored two runs in the second inning, then two more in the third before exploding for five runs in the fifth.<\/p>\n

They tallied three home runs off the bats of third baseman Nico Partida (11th of the season), first baseman Grahovac (10th), and right fielder Jorian Wilson (seventh).<\/p>\n

Houston got out to an early two-run lead in the first inning, but was unable to find any offensive production for the rest of the night, tallying just six hits from the second inning on.<\/p>\n

A&M\u2019s starting pitcher, Cole Hubert, was roughed up in a very short outing. The left-hander did not record an out, gave up Houston\u2019s only two runs, and allowed two hits on 17 pitches.<\/p>\n

The Aggies used seven pitchers, with the relievers combining for eight innings, six hits and no runs on the night.<\/p>\n

Cougars\u2019 starting pitcher, Caden Cooper, also had a short outing, but in a planned bullpen game. The righty lasted one inning, giving up no hits or runs and just one walk.<\/p>\n

Houston used eight\u00a0pitchers and struggled to hold down A&M\u2019s top-three offense.<\/p>\n

Next up for the Aggies is 6 p.m. Friday as they head to Baton Rouge to take on LSU.<\/p>\n

A pair of singles put two on with no outs. But a 5-6-3 double play erased two before the Aggies got out of the inning unscathed with a pop out to center field.<\/p>\n

Making his first collegiate appearance, Luke Billings allowed just one base runner (a walk) but struck out the side as A&M continued to retire Houston hitters.<\/p>\n

A Partida walk was followed by a Kiel single to put two on with no outs. From there, a Wilson double drove them both in.\u00a0Harrison was then hit by a pitch, prompting the Cougars to opt for a pitching change, their fourth of the evening.<\/p>\n

From there, Grahovac blasted a three-run home run off the batter’s eye. The Aggies added another after an error that allowed Hacopian to reach first, followed by a Duer single that drove him in.<\/p>\n

A single and a double were erased and left stranded as the Cougars’ offense continues to be shut down since the two runs they scored in the first inning.<\/p>\n

Aggies’ pitching has continued to settle down, this time sitting the Cougars down in order.<\/p>\n

A Duer triple was followed by a Partida homer to center field to give the Aggies their first lead of the night.<\/p>\n

Back-to-back singles put two on the corners with one out. But a well-executed 3-6-1 double play ended\u00a0the frame.<\/p>\n

A Partida single led to a Wilson two-run home run, tying the game at 2-2. A&M loaded the bases, but Hacopian grounded out to short, stranding them.<\/p>\n

The rough start forced the Aggies to turn to the bullpen, bringing in reliever Juan Vargas, who got out of the inning without any further damage.<\/p>\n
