The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2026 has been announced, and, as you might expect, not everyone \u2013 even those set to be inducted \u2013 is thrilled.\u00a0 Iron Maiden made it in after 20 years of eligibility, but some members of the band are less than enthused about this development.\u00a0 Lead singer Bruce Dickinson has, in the past, said that the Rock Hall was \u201can utter, complete load of bollocks.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
And what about Oasis?\u00a0 The Gallagher brothers, Liam and Noel, have reliably provided attention-grabbing quotes over the years (see the Houston Press review <\/a>of last year\u2019s highly entertaining volume Oasis Talking Shite), so you can\u2019t help but wonder what the reaction to their Rock Hall induction might be.\u00a0\u00a0 What do guys who have given us bons mots like \u201cFlip flops and the word \u2018latte\u2019 make me uncomfortable\u201d (Noel) and \u201cDoing duets is for girls\u201d (Liam) have to say about this new honor? Liam allowed that he is \u201cthrilled to bits,\u201d even though he previously opined that the Rock Hall was \u201cfull of wankers,\u201d following up that comment by stating, \u201cI don\u2019t want to be part of anything that mentally disturbed.
