CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas \u2014 The Corpus Christi Independent School District is hosting a Pre-K registration event to help families enroll eligible 3 and 4-year-old students ahead of the upcoming school year.<\/p>\n
The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 18, at the CCISD Instructional Resource Center at 4321 Prescott St.<\/p>\n
District officials say certified teachers and paraprofessionals will be available in each classroom, and families can learn about both free and tuition-based Pre-K options offered across all elementary campuses.<\/p>\n
CCISD notes that free Pre-K is available to eligible students and to full-time district employees.<\/p>\n
Families are encouraged to bring hard copies of required documents, including a birth certificate, Social Security card, proof of residency, immunization records, proof of income, and applicable assistance program information such as a SNAP or TANF case number.<\/p>\n
For families not eligible for free Pre-K, the monthly tuition is $486.<\/p>\n
District officials say the program focuses on early learning for 3- and 4-year-olds and prepares students for kindergarten readiness.<\/p>\n
