Texas, most of it<\/a> anyway, did away with the safety inspection requirement to renew vehicle registrations a couple of years ago. That saves, (some), Texans that yearly trip to the mechanic but folks still have to go see the taxman.<\/p>\n Not in San Antonio though and, hopefully, El Paso will eventually do what they did.<\/p>\n San Antonians can now skip the long lines at the tax office when renewing their registrations and also take advantage of other perks at these new drive thru renewal stands.<\/p>\n Convenient, Time Saving Way To Renew Texas Registrations<\/p>\n Most Texans no longer need to get a safety inspection, (17 counties still require an emissions test<\/a>), but owners still need to renew their registrations. Now, a quick stop at a drive thru renewal office makes the process quick ‘n easy. (Be sure you have proper ID<\/a>.)<\/p>\n \u201cThe actual registration renewal process is very simple.
