Here are updates on several upcoming and ongoing construction projects in and around the city of Allen. This list is not comprehensive.<\/p>\n<p>Upcoming projects<\/p>\n<p>1. US 75 Green Ribbon project<\/p>\n<p>Project: The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cityofallen.org\/news_detail_T11_R330.php\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">work<\/a> will provide enhancements to landscaping, erosion control, irrigation and new decorative rock to key intersections along the US 75 corridor, including Stacy Road, McDermott Drive and Bethany Drive.<\/p>\n<p>Update: The project is in the final design review.<\/p>\n<p>Timeline: summer 2026-late 2026Cost: $1.38 millionFunding source: city of Allen, Texas Department of TransportationOngoing projects <\/p>\n<p>2. Highway Safety Improvement Program<\/p>\n<p>Project: <a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/dallas-fort-worth\/allen\/transportation\/2026\/01\/30\/allen-improves-road-safety-through-46m-txdot-grant\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Updates<\/a> include modernized traffic signals, upgraded equipment, increased capacity and enhanced pedestrian features.<\/p>\n<p>Update: Construction is wrapping up with three intersections remaining at Century Parkway and Bethany Drive, Greenville Avenue and Bethany Drive, and Main Street and Greenville Avenue.<\/p>\n<p>Timeline: construction to wrap up by summer 2026Cost: $5.8 millionFunding source: city of Allen, TxDOT3. US 75 expansion<\/p>\n<p>Project: The project will expand US 75 into five lanes by converting existing high-occupancy vehicle lanes into \u201ctechnology lanes,\u201d which will have designated time periods for HOV travel but will be open for all drivers at other times.<\/p>\n<p>Update: Richardson crews are on track to complete the project by summer 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Timeline: March 2024-summer 2026Cost: $57 millionFunding source: TxDOT4. Spur 399 expansion<\/p>\n<p>Project: The project includes reconstructing and widening Spur 399 from its current four-lane configuration to six lanes and connecting it to US 380.<\/p>\n<p>Update: The project broke ground this summer and is currently under construction.<\/p>\n<p>Timeline: summer 2025-early 2029Cost: $157 millionFunding source: TxDOT<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Interested in roadwork updates impacting Allen residents?
