Police say a man was shot during a jewelry sale gone wrong at an apartment complex on the southwest side Wednesday night.<\/p>\n
SAN ANTONIO \u2014 A man in his 20s was injured in a shooting late Wednesday during what police described as a jewelry sale in the parking lot of a southwest-side apartment complex.<\/p>\n
According to the San Antonio Police Department, officers were called around 10:12 p.m. to the 9100 block of Excellence Drive, at The Scott at Medio Creek apartments.<\/p>\n
Police said the victim was attempting to sell jewelry in the parking lot when the suspect grabbed the item and pulled out a gun, demanding more property. An argument followed, and during the confrontation, police said the suspect fired a shot, striking the victim in the leg.<\/p>\n
SAPD said the suspect fled the scene in a vehicle before officers arrived.<\/p>\n
The victim was taken to University Hospital and is listed in stable condition, according to officials.<\/p>\n
No description of the suspect or vehicle was immediately released. The investigation remains ongoing.<\/p>\n
