A new face is coming to the airwaves of Austin as a meteorologist for KXAN News.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Hannah Gard announced last week that she would be joining KXAN, posting on Instagram that she was excited to be moving \u201cclose to family.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cEverything is bigger in Texas, and so is this next adventure,\u201d Gard wrote on Instagram. \u201cI\u2019m a Texas native, and I can\u2019t wait to be back.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
Gard said she was \u201cthrilled\u201d to be joining an \u201cincredibly talented\u201d team covering Central Texas.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The University of Oklahoma School of Meteorology graduate will start with KXAN in May. She comes from WVUE FOX 8 in New Orleans and was formerly with CNN, KSWO 7 News and KKTV 11 News.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cThe people I have met here and at FOX 8 have become family, and saying goodbye is the hardest thing to do,\u201d Gard said in an earlier Instagram post, bidding goodbye to her prior post.\u00a0<\/p>\n
