ERCOT projects the state&#8217;s power demand will surge as more large scale businesses like data centers move into the state at a faster rate than before. The current forecast projects over 367 gigawatts of demand by 2032 during peak hours. That is more than four times the current all-time peak of 85.5 gigawatts recorded in August 2023.
