ST. GEORGE, Utah \u2013 The UT Arlington Mavericks softball team travels to St. George, Utah this weekend for a conference weekend series at Utah Tech.

\nThe Mavericks and Trailblazers will open the weekend with a doubleheader on Friday, scheduled for 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. CT, followed by a single game on Saturday at 1 p.m. CT.

\n\tThe Mavericks come off a tough series lost, 1-2, against California Baptist. UTA won the second game of the doubleheader on Friday, 2-0, but fell in the opening, 11-8, and closing matches, 7-4.
\n\tThe Mavericks rank TENTH in double plays (23) and EIGHTH in double plays per game (.59) in the NATION.
\n\tThe Mavericks rank first in the WAC in four categories — double plays (23), double plays per game (.59), home runs (48) and home runs per game (1.23).
\n\tPeyton Holland<\/a> ranks first in the WAC in assists (94) and assists per game (2.41). Holland also sits at fourth in home runs with 10 and third in runs per game (.95).
