{"id":253366,"date":"2026-04-16T23:11:07","date_gmt":"2026-04-16T23:11:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/253366\/"},"modified":"2026-04-16T23:11:07","modified_gmt":"2026-04-16T23:11:07","slug":"hutto-edc-puts-2-2m-offer-on-the-table-to-purchase-hutto-annex-building","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/253366\/","title":{"rendered":"Hutto EDC puts $2.2M offer on the table to purchase Hutto Annex building"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.huttotx.gov\/421\/EDC\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Hutto Economic Development Corporation<\/a> announced April 15 that it has submitted an offer to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wilcotx.gov\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Williamson County<\/a> to purchase the vacant Hutto Annex building for various community uses.<\/p>\n<p>The corporation is offering $2.2 million for the 9,000-square-foot facility, per an HEDC news release.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;&gt;<\/p>\n<p>The details<\/p>\n<p>The HEDC&#8217;s offer aims to help meet several growing community needs, the release stated, and would provide space for:<\/p>\n<p>Public meetings, community gatherings and other city functionsA voting locationAn emergency center for food distribution, shelter operations or other community assistance activities\u201cThe Hutto Economic Development Corporation seeks to create a community for its residents where our civic and other activities are well-accommodated and accessible,\u201d HEDC Vice Chair Caitlin Morales said. \u201cThe acquisition of this type of space would provide much-needed flexibility in where and when those accommodations may be offered.
