{"id":253542,"date":"2026-04-17T01:16:17","date_gmt":"2026-04-17T01:16:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/253542\/"},"modified":"2026-04-17T01:16:17","modified_gmt":"2026-04-17T01:16:17","slug":"fort-worth-police-investigate-deadly-crash-nbc-5-dallas-fort-worth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/253542\/","title":{"rendered":"Fort Worth police investigate deadly crash \u2013 NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>An unknown chemical was discovered following what was initially reported as a crash that left two people dead Thursday afternoon, according to Fort Worth Police. <\/p>\n<p>Officers were called to the scene around 11:28 a.m. near 1940 Delga Street. <\/p>\n<p>Upon arrival, officers learned that the car had struck a parked car on Delga Street and then continued traveling a short distance before it stopped.<\/p>\n<p>Police secured the scene and no shelter-in-place order was issued, according to first responders. <\/p>\n<p>Two men died in the incident. One person was pronounced dead inside the car. <\/p>\n<p>Fort Worth Fire provided medical care to the man on the driver&#8217;s side of the car but he died while waiting to be transported to the hospital, police said. <\/p>\n<p>During the investigation of the accident, Fort Worth Fire discovered a large amount of an unknown chemical inside the vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>First responders remained on the scene working to remove hazardous chemicals from the vehicle, along with the remaining body.
