\n\u2022 The Liberty Flames close out a four-game road swing with a three-game CUSA series against the Dallas Baptist Patriots at Horner Ballpark this weekend. The series will be the last time the two teams meet during the regular season as conference opponents as DBU moves to the new PAC-12 next year.
\n\u2022 The Flames, 26-10 overall, have 11 of their last 12 games and six straight on the road entering the weekend. On Tuesday, Liberty belted five home runs, three by Nick Barone<\/a>, in a 17-7 win at Duke.
\n\u00a0\u2022 Liberty and DBU are tied for third place with identical 11-4 records in Conference USA. This past weekend, the Flames handed Jax State its first two losses in conference play and its first conference series loss by taking two of its three games with the Gamecocks at Worthington Field at Liberty Baseball Stadium.
\n\u2022 Liberty head coach Bradley LeCroy<\/a> is in his second season. LeCroy has led the Flames to a 56-37 record. LeCroy, who has been a head coach for four years, captured his 100th career coaching victory with Liberty’s 10-7 victory over Hofstra on March 1.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 With its win at Duke on Tuesday, Liberty moves to 12-3 on the road this season. The Flames’ record is the fifth best mark in the nation, entering the weekend.
\n\u2022 The Flames have won six straight road games. Liberty’s last road loss was a 4-3 setback at Kennesaw State on March 22.
\n\u2022 The Flames are scheduled to play 25 games on the road in 2026. Liberty has 11 road games left.
\n\u2022 Liberty finished its regular season with a 10-14 mark on the road in 2025.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Nick Barone<\/a> had quite the month of March. The left fielder hit a team-leading .348, driving in 17 runs and scoring 17 runs.
\n\u2022 Barone went 14-for-14 in stolen bases during March and enters the week fifth in\u00a0 CUSA with 15.\u00a0
\n\u2022 Barone followed the month up by blasting two home runs in the Flames’ sweep at Western Kentucky, April 2-4.\u00a0 On April 4, the outfielder belted a grand slam in the ninth inning to tie the game at 5-5 during Liberty’s six-run inning for a come-from-behind 6-5 win.\u00a0
\n\u2022 On Tuesday night, the outfielder also hit three home runs and had a career-high six RBI in Liberty’s 17-7 win over Duke at Jack Coombs Field, becoming the first Flame to hit three home runs in a game since 2022. He also becomes the first CUSA since 2019 to belt three in a game.
\n\u2022 For the season, Barone has hit .313 with a team-high 35 RBI and 29 runs scored. He leads the Flames with eight home runs. The senior is eighth in CUSA with a .609 slugging percentage and fifth in stolen bases with 15.<\/p>\n
