A first look at Taylor Sheridan\u2019s \u201cTulsa King\u201d spinoff has been revealed.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrisco King\u201d began production in Fort Worth in late March<\/a>. Previously titled \u201cNOLA King,\u201d the Paramount+ series was originally supposed to be set and made in New Orleans, but is now a North Texas production.<\/a><\/p>\n

The eight-episode Paramount+ series stars Samuel L. Jackson as Russell Lee Washington Jr., a hitman who crossed paths with Sylvester Stallone\u2019s \u201cTulsa King\u201d character Dwight Manfredi. Jackson appeared in the final two episodes of the show\u2019s third season last year.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, April 15, Stallone posted a photo online<\/a> of him and Jackson on the set of \u201cFrisco King,\u201d alongside director Christina Alexandra Voros.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom one king to another. \u2018Frisco King\u2019 is now in production!\u201d the post\u2019s caption reads.<\/p>\n

Stallone teases \u2018Frisco King\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cFrisco King\u201d counts Stallone as an executive producer, and if this photo is any clue, he will also appear in the series.<\/p>\n

While \u201cFrisco King\u201d began filming in North Texas last month, the show recently took a trip to Atlanta to film scenes, according to casting calls from Georgia-based companies<\/a>. This was likely to film scenes with Stallone, since \u201cTulsa King\u201d has been filming its fourth season in Atlanta since November 2025.<\/p>\n

In addition, fellow \u201cTulsa King\u201d actor Jay Will posted a photo<\/a> last week of himself with Stallone and Jackson on set.<\/p>\n

Sheridan is writing every episode of \u201cFrisco King\u201d himself.<\/p>\n

The series will film in Fort Worth, Plano, Dallas, Frisco, Keller, Denton and Southlake through July. In addition to Jackson and Stallone<\/a>, \u201cFrisco King\u201d will star Kai Caster, Asa Germann, Lilah Pate and Savanna Gann.<\/p>\n

No release date has been set for the series.<\/p>\n
