By 11 am, before the fashion show of the best items began, scores of women had filled their shopping bags with unbelievable bargains.<\/p>\n<p>Bulging white shopping bags with red Sold tags were the must-have accessory of the day.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Linda-McReynolds-Hannah-McNair-scaled.jpg\" data-imagelightbox=\"show-single-lightbox\" rel=\"show-single-lightbox\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1706\" height=\"2560\" class=\"wp-image-726306 size-full img-responsive \" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Linda-McReynolds-Hannah-McNair-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"Linda McReynolds, Hannah McNair\"  \/><\/a>Linda McReynolds, Hannah McNair at the Salvation Army Auxiliary Reflections on Style luncheon<\/p>\n<p>A few observations:<\/p>\n<p>Best Dressed Hall of Fame honoree Roslyn Bazzelle Mitchell, arms loaded with clothes. \u201cI\u2019ve grabbed everything in designers I like and I\u2019ll just see if they fit,\u201d she says. Mitchell allows that in a previous year she had picked up a Monique Lhuillier royal blue gown with tags still on, a gem which she wore to that year\u2019s Ballet Ball.<br \/>\nKathy Goossen was holding tight to an Oscar de la Renta frock with a price tag $125. She would take it home without trying on, she explained, as changing clothes in the vast single dressing room was not ideal. \u201cIf it doesn\u2019t fit, I\u2019ll donate it for next year\u2019s sale,\u201d Goosen says.<br \/>\n\u201cThe jewelry is fantastic. Really, really. The show featured the works of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.papercitymag.com\/society\/houston-best-dressed-papercity-philantrophy-fashion-raises-one-million-post-oak-hotel\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Oscar de la Renta<\/a>, Valentino, Chanel and more to-die-for labels.<\/p>\n<p>Items in the show were moved to the living room for post-luncheon sale, causing many of the 480 guests to skip dessert and line up for first dibs on the premium clothes.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Jennifer-Allison-Amanda-Buffone-scaled.jpg\" data-imagelightbox=\"show-single-lightbox\" rel=\"show-single-lightbox\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1706\" height=\"2560\" class=\"wp-image-726297 size-full img-responsive \" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Jennifer-Allison-Amanda-Buffone-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"Jennifer Allison, Amanda Buffone\"  \/><\/a>Jennifer Allison, Amanda Boffone at the Salvation Army Auxiliary Reflections on Style luncheon<\/p>\n<p>Lesha Elsenbrook chaired the \u201cJardin du Monde\u201d themed event that honored Gina Saur, a dedicated and longstanding member of the auxiliary.
