The milestone celebration is supported in part by Visit Lubbock, which helps welcome visitors and host events that bring travelers to the Lubbock community.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Founded in 1976, High Riders has spent the past half-century promoting Red Raider spirit while supporting women\u2019s athletics through service, traditions, and community involvement. More than 500 women have proudly called themselves High Riders, participating in traditions like ringing the Victory Bells, supporting student-athletes, and building a lasting sisterhood rooted in faith, service, and spirit.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The anniversary weekend will feature several events across the Texas Tech campus, including reunion gatherings, a historical reflection brunch, a campus scavenger hunt, and a closing brunch celebrating the legacy of the organization.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Texas Tech University President Lawrence Schovanec will offer brief remarks before the keynote address, which will be delivered by former Texas Tech Women\u2019s Basketball Head Coach Marsha Sharp.
